The Mini Race Challenge Lap Counter can be powered using a power bank, a USB adapter, or directly from a PC. Connection with the PC or device is established either through a USB cable (for PC only) or via Bluetooth.
USB connection on Windows PC
If you choose to connect your lap counter using a USB cable, you may need to install the driver. You can download the required drivers from the following links:

Connect to the web app
- Navigate https://app.miniracechallenge.com/
- Connect your Lap Counter
- Click Devices from the left menu
- Click the button in the bottom right of the screen then the usb icon
- A dialog will open, displaying the Lap Counter as USB Serial (CP2102 USB to UART Bridge Controller for V1).
- Select it and click Connect
- The device has been added to the list, and the USB icon on the right is now green, indicating that the device is connected and ready for operation.
- The Lap Counter will be automatically recognized the next time you connect it. Please note that only one tab of the app is permitted. If you experience difficulties connecting the device, it’s possible that it is in use by another browser tab or by ZRound. In such cases, kindly close any other browser tabs or disconnect it from ZRound.
Bluetooth Connection on Mobile Device or Browser
- Open the mobile app or the web app
- Connect your Lap Counter
- Click Devices from the left menu
- Click the button in the bottom right of the screen then the usb icon
- A dialog will open showing the Lap Counter as MRC Lap Counter
- Click it and confirm
- The device has been added to the list, and the Bluetooth icon on the right is now green, indicating that the device is connected and ready for operation.
- The next time you open the app, you will need to repeat these steps as the connection is not established automatically.
Lap Counter details and diagnostic
- Click on the connected device name from the list to navigate to the diagnostic page.
- Pass a tag over the cable and check for a blue dot appearing next to the USB icon.
- Click on the device row to navigate to the diagnostic/test page.
- Here, you can view the current firmware version and test tag recognition.
